    SESSION DICTIONARY

All 2026 PJ Library International Conference sessions are open to all attendees. If a session is designed with a specific group of attendees in mind (e.g., parent connectors), this will be noted in the session description within the conference Agenda. All agenda topics and our conference schedule are subject to change.

Golden Ticket Awards Thanks to Harold's generosity, we have created these awards to honor communities who have achieved subscription growth in new and creative ways. All communities are eligible to win these $1,000 awards. To learn more or apply, click here. The deadline to apply is April 17th.

Moth-Style Storytelling Hour Tuesday evening after dinner, we will be putting on a Moth–style storytelling hour during which select conference participants will present a 5-minute story related to the conference Theme (Growth, and Why it Matters).

Steal This! Wednesday morning we will have an idea-rich power hour designed to spark practical inspiration. Conference participants will present successful initiatives they’ve implemented in their own communities, offering brief overviews of their initiative, why it worked, and what they learned. You will leave with a collection of proven concepts, adaptable frameworks, and new connections—along with concrete next steps for bringing fresh ideas back to your community.

Networking One of our primary goals is for you to leave the conference knowing at least one other person with whom you can brainstorm and problem solve when you're back in the day-to-day of your role. We accomplish this through facilitating intentional networking sessions and providing informal opportunities for connection. Networking session assignments will be provided when you check in at the registration table on Monday. You will meet with these groups on Monday and Wednesday, with an optional meeting on Tuesday, midway through the conference.

Learn This! Sessions These 60-minute sessions are designed to help you think about ways to incorporate practical strategies and ideas into your work in order to grow and strengthen your local community.

Immerse in This! Workshops These 75-minute sessions are designed to help you engage more deeply with a topic—often including collaborative work time in small groups—and walk away with concrete next steps to implement in your local community.
